fallwebworm

The Fall Webworm is a dirty white, hairy looking caterpillar which will form webs in many different kinds of trees. Youll notice them in cottonwood trees, apple trees and any other trees here in New Mexico.

If you notice these webs in your trees, first try to remove them mechanically with a long stick or a pole pruner. If you cant webwormremove them mechanically, then Paynes recommends spraying them with a product called SPINOSAD. Spinosad is an insecticide that has been developed from a bacterial species which was discovered at an old sugar mill plantation. It was discovered that this bacteria is an excellent insecticide for not just chewing insects but on lots of different types of insects and its completely natural. Stop by either location and get rid of those pests today!
